Sky Gilbert ( 1960- )

Description

Sky Gilbert is the co-founder of Toronto's Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. As the theatre's Artistic Director for almost two decades, he has written, produced and directed dozens of LGBT-themed plays, which fearlessly explored queer sexuality, gender roles and the relationship between eros and art. Both inside and outside of the theatre, his advocacy for queer arts has had an impact across Canada. (2011 Induction Statement)
